Homemade honey cake in a water bath
Homemade cake Miraculous is not only delicious, but also healthy. After all, its filling is prepared on the basis of cottage cheese. True, none of those who enjoy this dessert for the first time can determine that the filling is curd. It tastes very similar to condensed milk. Probably, it is precisely because of such taste metamorphoses that the cake got its “wonderful” name. Such a dessert can also be given to small children, because cottage cheese is very useful. It can be prepared fairly quickly. Products that will be required for cooking, for sure, are in every home.
And so, what do we need for the test:
- two eggs;
- two tablespoons of honey;
- 180 grams of flour;
- 150 grams of sugar;
- ⅔ tsp each - soda and baking powder.
For cream:
- half a kilogram of cottage cheese;
- 100 grams of sugar;
- 50 grams of butter;
- vanilla sugar;
- 2 pcs. egg yolk.
How to make honey cake in a water bath
To prepare the dough, you need to mix sugar, baking powder, soda, add eggs and honey. We mix together all the ingredients. The easiest way to do this is with a mixer, although you can mix the ingredients with a fork as well.
Next, the resulting mass must be put in a water bath. Gradually, the volume of the mass will increase in size. Remove from heat when it has doubled in size. After the mass has cooled slightly, pour flour into it and stir until smooth. The dough should be a little sticky. For some time (at least 4 hours) it must be left in the refrigerator.
Next, you can start baking cakes in the oven. We form cakes (diameter up to 15 cm) directly on parchment, with which we cover baking sheets. One cake is baked for about five minutes. The main thing is to carefully monitor so that it does not burn out. Ready cakes should turn out lush and fragrant. It is better not to wait until they have cooled, but immediately remove them from parchment paper.
Cream for honey cake Wonder wonderful
It will take a little time to cook the cream. Put all the ingredients except the oil in a prepared saucepan. Mix until smooth. It's easier to do this with a blender. Next, add oil and put the cream on fire. Cook until the consistency of it begins to resemble thick semolina. On this cream is ready.
It remains only to assemble and decorate our homemade honey cake. To do this, simply grease each cake with cream.
It is a real pleasure to do this, because the cream is thick and does not flow at all.
In order for the cake to bring not only taste, but also aesthetic pleasure, it can be decorated on top with seasonal fruits, as in our photo, or shabby chocolate. Before use, it is better to let this culinary masterpiece stand for several hours in the refrigerator. I note that from the indicated number of products, the cake turns out to be quite small in size. But, if necessary, you can increase the rate of products and make a larger version of the dessert.
