Homemade Prague cake is a hearty dessert with rich chocolate flavor and delicate sweet cream. The recipe for its preparation at home is quite simple, not requiring special skills, complex whipping and other special skills.
How to make Prague cake at home.
To prepare the cake, you need to mix the following ingredients with a whisk in turn: 3 eggs, 1 glass of sugar, then 0.5 cans of condensed milk (200 g), 1 glass of sour cream. Next, extinguish 1 tsp in the dough. soda. Add dry ingredients to the resulting liquid mixture: 1.5 cups of flour and 2 tbsp. spoons of cocoa powder. Mix everything carefully. It is more convenient to do this with a spoon, and not with a mixer.
In a baking dish (usually take a round one), put parchment paper, grease it with butter and pour the dough. In an oven heated to 180 degrees, put the cake to bake for 35 minutes. After the specified time has elapsed, check the readiness - stick a toothpick and pull it out. If it remains dry, the cake is ready. If not, return to the oven for another couple of minutes.
The finished biscuit cake should be allowed to cool and then cut into three equal parts. It is advisable to soak each with a sweet liquid: fruit syrup, just water with sugar or an alcoholic liquor or martini. After such impregnation, the cakes will not be dry.
Cake cream Prague
To prepare the cream, take softened butter (200 g) and mix with 0.5 cans of condensed milk (200 g) until smooth. Add 1 tbsp. spoon of cocoa powder and beat well with a mixer.
Lubricate the first two cakes with cream. If desired, the amount of cream can be reduced. The cream is quite satisfying and an excessive amount makes the cake greasy.
The top cake, as well as, if desired, the edges of the cake - grease with chocolate icing. To prepare it, take 50 grams of butter, 4 tbsp. spoons of sugar, 3 tbsp. spoons of milk and 1 tbsp. a spoonful of cocoa powder. Put all these ingredients to boil. As soon as the mixture boils, you can remove it from the stove. The icing hardens quickly, so you need to immediately pour it over the finished cake.
When you have completed all the cooking steps step by step, you will have a delicious and shiny chocolate cake. From above it can be decorated with edible figurines, also chocolate. You don't have to make them yourself 😉, but you can just buy them in the supermarket. If these were not found, then you can simply grate the chocolate on a coarse grater or decorate by pushing part of the cream through a syringe with a curly nozzle.
