There are several options for making such a cake, and today I want to share with the hostesses the recipe for making the Monastic hut from wafer rolls with cherry filling. Making a cake without baking is easy and simple, and in terms of taste, it is in no way inferior to a cake prepared according to a traditional recipe. Step-by-step photographs will illustrate the preparation.
Ingredients:
- wafer rolls with cherry filling - 13 pcs.;
- peanuts - 200 gr;
- sour cream - 400 gr;
- thickener for sour cream - 1 package;
- vanilla sugar - 1 package;
- powdered sugar - 150 gr;
- milk - 300 ml.
How to make a Monastyrskaya Izba cake without baking
We start cooking with the fact that we need to roast the peanuts. Pour the nuts into the pan and fry over high heat, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes.
Then, wait until the peanuts cool down, so that the cooling goes faster, you need to pour the nuts from the hot frying pan into a deep bowl, pre-chilled in the freezer.
Next, we clean the cooled peanuts from the husk. It is very simple to do this, just rub the nuts a little with your hands and the husk almost leaves by itself.
Peeled peanuts we need to chop. This can be done in different ways. I crushed the nuts with a pestle from a mortar, you can crush with a rolling pin or grind in a meat grinder with a large mesh.
This is how crushed peanuts turned out.
At the next stage, we need to pour the milk into a deep stainless steel bowl and heat it, but do not bring it to a boil. The milk should be so hot that it is impossible to hold your finger in it.
Soak the wafer rolls in milk for five to seven minutes.
While the tubes are soaking, we will have time to prepare the cream. Pour sour cream into the blender bowl, pour out powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, thickener and beat the cream at low speed for two to three minutes.
This is how the cream for the cake turned out, at first glance it is liquid, but due to the thickener, the cream hardens very quickly.
Let's start assembling the cake. Pour a little cream onto a large flat dish and put four wafer rolls with cherry filling on top. Try to put the tubes tightly to each other. It turned out the basis of the cake, which we generously pour with cream.
Next, lay three waffle tubes at a distance of about half a centimeter from each other.
Pour the second layer of the cake with cream and sprinkle with crushed peanuts.
We put the next three tubes close to each other, pour them with cream and sprinkle with peanuts.
Next, lay two tubes, grease with cream and put one tube on top of the cake.
Pour the cream well over the cake and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour so that the cream seizes.
Then, apply a second layer of cream. It remains just to decorate the cake by sprinkling it with peanuts.
Carefully remove the remaining cream from the plate with a napkin or spoon 😉 and put the cake in the refrigerator for soaking for six to eight hours.
