Homemade cake, by default, simply has to be delicious. But we really want it to be beautiful too. 🙂 In pursuit of fashion for mastic decorations, many housewives undeservedly forget about cream design. But in vain: firstly, the cream is much tastier than mastic, and secondly, working with it takes much less time than preparing mastic decor. Today we are making tulips from cream - a delicious and beautiful decoration for the cake. My step-by-step recipe with a photo will demonstrate in detail not only the design of cakes with oil-based protein cream tulips, but also show how to use the tulip cream nozzle correctly.

How to make tulips from cream on a cake

If you don’t know what cream to make tulips for the cake from, then it’s better to use my recipe. I will use my favorite and repeatedly tested cream - oil on proteins. You will find his most detailed step-by-step recipe with a photo by clicking on the link. I decided to make one type of tulips white, the second - pink. In addition, I also need green leaves. Therefore, I divided the finished oil-protein cream in the right proportion and dyed it in the selected colors.

We also need a special nozzle for planting tulips. They are metal and plastic. The second option is much more cost effective. It is on him that I advise you to pay attention to novice home decorators. You can buy a whole set for the price of 2 professional nozzles. Agree, the benefits are obvious. And for our needs, even plastic nozzles with intensive use for 100 years will be enough for us. 🙂 So let's get started. For decoration, I used two types of tulip nozzles. Both are in front of you in the photo. Here is the first one. I will use it to form red tulips.

And here is the second nozzle - with its help I will make white flowers.

For green cream, we need a special nozzle for leaflets. She is in front of you in the photo below. As you can see, I have already filled large (or medium) pastry bags with cream and inserted the nozzles chosen for work into them.

How to use the cream tulip nozzle

If you press on the bag with a tulip nozzle, then the cream comes out through the holes, immediately forming petals and stamens.

For decoration, bake a cake in advance according to your favorite recipe. It is desirable that it ends with a cake. Sides can be decorated to your liking. I just cut off the embossed strips. Cover the top of the cake with a thin layer of cream. So our cream tulips will stick to it better. It is not necessary to level the surface to the ideal. Now, you can "plant" tulips on the cake. We hold the bag of cream strictly perpendicular to the surface. Our flower is quite capricious, therefore, I advise you to first practice on a plate. Not the first time you can get an open tulip. Without proper skill, sometimes a closed bud comes out.

And so, touch the nozzle of the cake, at the same time lightly press the contents of the bag so that the cream begins to flow out and the flower sticks well. Further, we increase the pressure by lifting the nozzle up and abruptly tear it off, completely stopping pressing on the bag at the moment of separation. At first it may seem complicated, but in fact this process is very simple and takes a couple of seconds. Again, don't neglect your workout. After each flower, the nozzle should be wiped with a napkin, removing the rest of the cream.

According to my idea, rows of red and white tulips alternate on the cake. Having planted the red ones, we proceed to the white ones.

The procedure is similar. As you can see, with this nozzle, slightly different tulips are obtained. They are a bit like a rose.

Plant the tulips fairly tightly. We will cover the voids between them with leaves. But look, even without them it already turns out very beautifully. 🙂

The length and width of the leaves are adjustable by pressing the nozzle. At the moment of detachment of the nozzle from the leaflet, abruptly stop pressing on the bag.
