Everyone knows the situation when there is very little time, but you want to cook something tasty for the whole family. I have a lot of quick and easy recipes in stock. I will share one of them now. This is an incredibly tasty and quick Napoleon cake made from ready-made puff pastry, which is prepared quite simply. The main thing is to always have a pack of custard in stock and ready-made puff pastry in the freezer. In the process of cooking, I took a step-by-step photo to illustrate the recipe.

So we need:

  • puff pastry (ready-made) - 400-450 grams;
  • custard cream (ready-made) - 1 pack;
  • cocoa powder - 1 teaspoon;
  • caramel "sea pebble" - for decoration.

How to make a Napoleon cake from ready-made puff pastry

Remove the puff pastry sheets from the packaging, lay them out on a flat surface and leave to defrost. When the sheets are soft and ready to bake, roll each sheet into a rectangular shape. Make holes with a fork so that the dough does not deform.

From a pack of ready-made puff pastry, you will get four cake layers. Place each sheet of dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

Ready-made custard for the cake is very easy to prepare. I have a package of regular custard, which is diluted with water. All proportions are indicated on the package.

When I diluted the cream with water, I got a whole bowl of fragrant and very tasty cream.

The layered cake will turn out lush and tall. It can be pressed down, but I like its airy structure.

On top of Napoleon's homemade cake, you can decorate like me with “sea pebble” caramel of different colors, sprinkle with cocoa powder and send it to the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

I made the cake in the evening, and in the morning I saw a beautiful pattern on it. The pebbles made multi-colored patterns that further decorated the cake.
